Location: West Mound, low plateau to southwest
Located on a low plateau in the south-western part of the West Mound Trench II was excavated in 1961 to explore the nature of the surface finds of the distinctive Early Chalcolithic II dark-painted pottery. In 1998 Trench II was partially reopened as a reassessment exercise in preparation for a programme of continued excavations. No further work was conducted
