| Mound: West | Location: West Mound, on edge to southeast
Trench III was a sounding placed on the edge of the arable fields in the south-eastern area of the West Mound in 1998. The intention was to assess at what depth intact Chalcolithic deposits survived. It revealed a modern ploughsoil 0.3m thick overlying a much deeper mixed deposit, which produced a small amount of Classical material throughout. No further work was conducted
History: Backfilled. No further excavations conducted.
