late Roman/ Byzantine grave. Female. Identified as such by the presence of wood lining or coffin inside the cut. There are also a few nails. A direct stratigraphied relationship with graves features 1550, 1552 (graves with wood) and 1553 (grave with tegulae, was impossible to establish. There are many similarities with the ones above, so it is very likely to be close in time together. On the bottom of the cut a fragment of a bronze ring was found. |
