Burial pit of two disarticulated skeletons (sk.19493+sk.19450) arranged in a birds nest.
Most likely represents the event in which the skull of sk.20430 was removed. F.3686 which is cut by this feature contained a skeleton (sk.20430) which had no skull. The long bones of two individuals were placed along the side of cut 20474 a like birds nest, with interlocking long bones. These interlocking bones formed a sphere in which the center had very few bone remains.
One late sherd (post-neolithic) was found within fill 19461. It is most likely that this sherd was brought in through an animal burrow as a post depositional process, evidenced by the large animal burrow that existed right beneath this feature. |
