| This is a large, irregular burial pit located in north - west part of excavated area. The cut was irregular but relatively easy to distinguish. An excact function of the pit is not straightforward. Interestingly, two clusters of human bones found in its infill make us suggest this is a burial. Alternatively, bones might have been dumped here after being removed from other location.It is also possible that the burial was largely destroyed by a range of postdepositional process. |
