Unit 10393
Category: Layer dug in 2005
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: wall plaster
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: plaster; Deposition: layered (wall plaster)
Discussion: This plaster was constructed sometime after wall F.1578 was built, the niche (F. 1477) cut was made, and the niche was plastered. This unit most likely covered the entire wall, but was not preserved because it had been exposed to the elements since the 2005 field season, when it was initially uncovered. Because of this, only patchy elements remained. This plaster was removed in order to continue the excavation of Building 52 during the 2013 field season.
