Discussion: After taking off most of the fill the unit is divided into the upper messy layers and the lower mud bricks and mortar. The upper layer contains bits of charcoal plaster and orange clay. There are also some disturbances from roots. In the lower half the mud bricks are dark brown and the mortar is light brown or almost yellow. There is also a trace of grey mud bricks in the upper northern corner of the unit
Recognition: The grey brick on the north side helped to identify it.

Consistency: Firm - strong
Colour: light brown mortar with dark brown bricks. Orange clay
Texture: clay loam on top. Sandy clay mortar. Clay loam bricks
Bedding: convolute layering then parallel layering of bricks and mortar
Inclusions: 30% bricks. 20% mortar. 10% orange clay. 5% charcoal. 2% plaster flecks
