Unit 10938

Category: Cut    dug in 2004

Area: TP

Interpretive Categories: burial cut

Data Category Information: Description: burial

Dimensions: 2.58 x 0.80 x 0,52

Discussion: It is a cut of a burial pit situated in S edge of an extension - partly in the section so a kind of a niche was formed. The burial was first noticed thanks to a grave marker (unit 8917) built of diagonally placed mudbricks and situated in a bigger pit (cut 10908, feature 1174) which means that the cut 10938 was dug in the base of the cut 10908.
The infill of the cut 10938 was excavated as unit 10936 while a skeleton of an individual buried within this pit is 10937.
The base of the cut was sloping in E direction therefore the lowest varies from 1016.79 to 1016.92.
