Unit 11217
Category: Cut dug in 2004
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: burial removal pit?
Data Category Information: Description: burial
Dimensions: the depth lay between 0.20-0.25m
Discussion: cut lmost certainanly placed within central space of platform. This appears to have been overdug as eventually we came down to articulated remains going into the sections rather than the expected burial. Although no body was found lots of disarticulated bone came from the fill/fills. The original cut may have been 0.20-0.25m deep altough this is a best guess. Probably then a burial retrieval pit.
