Discussion: This is a relatively large pit placed to the north of a row of mud bricks. Form and size of the latter indicate that unit might be a burial pit. However, no skeleton has been found in its infill. 

 

Recognition: consistency, shape, presence of mudbrick marker 

Definition: infill of pit or burial 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: dry, hot, windy 

Consistency: friable on top, more compact towards the bottom 

Colour: light/mid grey & mid brown 

Texture: sandy loam & sandy clay

Inclusions: pottery, human bones, animal bones, obsidian
