Discussion: It is a mud brick wall oriented N-S and placed in Western part of the trench. The wall was firstly uncovered by J. Mellaart. During the excavartion of B 61 N part of the wall was linked with a sequence of the oldest floor in that building. The most upper course of bricks was significantly disintegrated by weather and subsequent erosion. It seems that the bricks used in the wall construction were standardised and oriented N- S. The size of bricks in subsequent courses are as follows:
1 course:
1. 0.40 x 0.42 x 0.10
2. 0.36 x 0.46 x 0.10
3. 0.50 x 0.22 x 0.10
4. 0.74 x 0.36 x 0.06
5. 0.83 x 0.34 x 0.08
6. 0.90 x 0.33 x 0.08
2 course:
1. 0.50 x 0.42 x 0.09
2. 0.56 x 0.40 x 0.08

4. 0.20 x 0.20 x 0.09
5. 0.42 x 0.20 x 0.10
6. 0.20 x 0.40 x 0.09
7. 0.85 x 0.40 x 0.09
8. 0.73 x 0.40 x 0.09
9. 0.73 x 0.37 x 0.09

4. 0.45 x 0.44 x 0.10
5. 0.40 x 0.38 x 0.10
5 course:
1. 0.10 x 0.42 x 0.08
2. 0.90 x 0.40 x 0.08
3. 0.35 x 0.46 x 0.10
6 course:
1. 0.42 x 0.43 x 0.10
2. 0.42 x 0.44 x 0.08
3. 0.42 x 0.48 x 0.03
4. 0.48 x 0.44 x 0.09
Stratigraphically the wall was placed directly on te earlier one- 12230. Consequently both structures as seen from the west formed one wall surface. However, their eastern face was different. This was caused by a different alignment of bricks making up the lower wall 12230 and oriented W-E. So, the latter wall seemed to be more massive and thicker than 11583. Stratigraphic relation between the units 12230 and 11583 indicates that they were not part of the same construction, they must be treated as two walls raised one on top of another in different phases of the mound occupation.
