Discussion: Te fill of the bin (F.1967)? / area/ pit? With a concentration of carbonized barley It contains concentration of carbonized seds ( identified as barley by Amy)
We collected samples of 30 lt for floatation, however Amy decided to get all of the fill for floatation, She thinks that it is an area where only was deposited and- no other seeds.
2006- 10/07/06 After we have emptied the bin #12417 yesterday, we dig up this one, which was partly emptied last year. A visible concentration of burnt barleys were on NE corner of the bin. The fill is removed until a greyish soil, harder layer. Flotation and samples for phytolith is taken. 

Recognition: soft ashy burnt soil ( within the rounded structure) 

Definition: soft, ashy 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: dry+hot+sunny( while taking S2- we had the shalter/covered roof, so shadowy) 

Consistency: soft, loose / due to the fallen down burnt kerpiç, sometime it was hard&compact 

Colour: black, red 

Texture: soil 

Bedding: mixed/wavy- (no floor yet) 

Inclusions: ash, carbonized fragm. Charcoal+ barley 

Post-depositional Features: fallen down/collapsed kerpiç+roots+animal holes
