Discussion: This is one of layers in a sequence of make-up layers below wall 10982 and its whole surface levelling layer 12234. Unit 12270 was the last in a northern sequence. S sequence consisted only of 4 units (12254-1st level, 12258-2nd level, 12261- 3rd level & 12271- 4th level).
In the first level of N sequence 3 units were distinguished (12257,12253 & 12252) and in 2nd level also 3 (12267, 12253 and 12270) the later of which become whole surface layer on the 3rd level.
The change of the shape of the unit 12270 is shown on plans 05/238 and 05/239- depicting bigger unit.
In the basal boundary of the unit a wall was exposed.
That unit consisted of 3 sub-layers, which were better visible in N & S parts of the unit, while in its centre they were not so well distinguishable.
