Discussion: Remnants of lowest course of mudbrick overlying wall at southern end of space 276. The west end of F.2201 overlay room infill (12902). Mudbrick very eroded & crumbly. 

Recognition: recognised as thin remnant of mudbrick material partially overlying 12902 infill during excavation of 12902. Once identified could clearly see that distinct from underlying wall of building 59. 

Definition: good 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: eroded/crumbly 

Consistency: friable 

Colour: mid greyish brown 

Texture: clayey silt 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: 1 shell fragment 

Post-depositional Features: eroded 

Basal Boundary: sharp,distinct,smooth,flat,smooth. Base 'steps up' towards east end as cut into underlying wall (see sketch).
