Discussion: wall plaster on wall F.2203
Wall plaster survives quite well on most of ther east face of wall F.2203 but its missing from the face of the wall N of the 2 better preserved bins (see sketch). The wall plaster is at its thickest on the N. side of the post scar-3cm. Elsewhere at the S end of the wall the wall plaster is about 1.5cm thick-at the west end it is a little under 1cm thick. The wall plaster is relatively thin on the walls of this space which may have something to do with the activities taking place here-there are storage bins, and no evidence of platforms or benches-so probably a room that was redecorated less frequently. Duygu has taken a sample of the wall plaster so that the layers can be counted. Wall plaster appears to continue below the level we have excavated to.
