Description: Red pigment on east face of wall F2000 to south of F2001 above F2126 

Discussion: Wall paint on wall F2251. - very weathered but original extent relatively clear.

Red band. Approx 53 cm long. At least three layers of paint; the top orangey red ( ),the underlying two, crimson-red ( ). The band of paint appears to have originally filled a linear depression moulded into the plaster: a short section of the upper edge of this moulding was observed above the band of paint. Similar moulded and paintedd features were observed in the 1960s (see AS 12, p.50 etc)
Building 58 contained two more similar features.
