Unit 13450
Category: Layer dug in 2006
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: plaster floor on platform
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: raised area (platform); Material: white clay; Deposition: multiple
Dimensions: 0.01 x 0.03m thick
Discussion: Eight floor layers removed as a single unit over platform F.2225 - no association with only abutting bench F.2213 and North South wall F.2215. The last grey floor in the sequences was particularly rich with phytoliths. The removal of these layers revealed more of the wall painting on the west facing wall F.2215.
*The floor thickness varies from 0.01m - 0.03m thick. The thickest section is drawn above to show the layering and came from the South East corner (level 2).
Recognition: plaster layers covering platform F.2225
Definition: good - truncated to the North and West (erosion)
Execution: trowel excavated
Condition: cool and dry
Consistency: firm (solid well cemented floors)
Colour: mainly grey floors
Texture: clay plaster
Bedding: layered
Inclusions: frequnet phytoliths; occassional white plaster flecks
Post-depositional Features: animal burrows; bioturbation; grave cuts [13010] [12998]
