Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: raised area (platform); Material: white clay; Deposition: multiple

 

Discussion: Plaster layers covering bench, grey and white. Revealed the separate set of bricks, new bricks placed in front of plaster to move bench fiurther north. Thickest point is South East corner 0.01 to 0.03m thick. There are three main layers of plaster, look at above drawing. 

 

Recognition: plaster layer covering brick bench F.2213 and platform 2225 

Definition: good 

Execution: trowel excavated 

Condition: cool and dry 

Consistency: loose at eroded parts, more firm towards bottom 

Colour: light grey 

Texture: clay plaster 

Bedding: layered, three or four very thick layers 

Inclusions: 1 piece of animal bone 

Post-depositional Features: animal burrows 

Basal Boundary: clear and sharp onto brick
