Discussion: Mud brick core to platform 2225 and bench 2213. The bench as seen higher in the phase life of the feature underwent several changes and may have begun life as a lip on a platform; to the south the lip was slightly truncated by later cut backs to the bench 2213. As it was extended north away from the entrance.
Recognition: brick core of bench/platform 2213/2225. At this point the two features shared the same construction material.
Definition: good into brick infill
Execution: trowel and mattock excavated
Condition: hot and dry
Consistency: loose (crumbley)
Colour: dark brown
Texture: mud brick (heavy clay content)
Bedding: massive (no obvious bricks)
Inclusions: very occassional bone and obsidian flakes
Post-depositional Features: truncated by two burial cuts [12998] and [13010] and animal burrows
Basal Boundary: good - clear dark crumbled mud brick into lighter orangish brown compacted mud brick
