Discussion: room fill in space below space 309. 

Recognition: room fill below space 309, extends further east than space 309 since the walls to the east must have moved between the use of space 309 and that space underneath. To the south the fill abutts wall f.2563 which is the southern wall of the space below 309, again showing shifting between use of space. 

Definition: initially very difficult to define since the floor of space 309 was very patchy and eroded with the room fill of space 309 and that below very similar. 

Execution: because of the difficulty in defining the roomfill, the fill (14173) has partly been removed with (14103); otherwise (14173) will be excavated next year. 

Condition: hot 

Consistency: friable 

Colour: mid greyish brown 

Texture: sandy silt 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: occasional animal bone 

Post-depositional Features: animal burrows
