Discussion: Unit 15170 has been interpreted as the ground floor of a building superimposed to an older one whose boundaries still need to be defined. This floor, massively disturbed by animal burrows, seems to be related to F.3320 and 3321, continuing into the northern baulk and probably to the East of F.3322. It is also linked with U.15171. Once lifted it was found that this floor may have been the repair of an earlier floor (15190) from which it was separated by a thin layer of dark grey fill (15159). In terms of elevations this floor slopes down towards ist easter side. Throughout the floor is rather flat, particularly in ots NW corner, becoming slightly bumpier towards the east, possibly as a result of the animal disturbances.
