Unit 15189
Category: Cluster dug in 2010
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: bone cluster
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: 0,05m x 0,04m x 0,02m
Discussion: This bone cluster consisted of fragmentary neonate skeletal remains found in Layer 15179 in F.3331 in the north west section of the pit. Only skull and some pelvis bones were seen at this point; there was an animal burrow NW of the remains (up against the cut, 15185). It is uncertain as to whether this neonate was in context as Byzantine period or Chalcolithic disturbed by later activity. The unit 15179 had brought up some neonate remains above this part, which probably belong to this individual. The x and y point is of the small cranial parts located in the pit. This cluster was west of 15192, an adult cranium (another bone cluster) and 15199 adult fragmentary and scattered remains (bone cluster). There was a large flat stone in the center of the pit, along with Byzantine tiles.
