Discussion: Unit 15194 is room fill that sits below two plastered floors (15190, 15191, 15170) and a cluster consisting primarily of pottery and animal bone refuse. The layer is very heterogeneous with many inclusions and highly mixed soil consistency. The unit is full of lenses of ash plaster and clay, particularly to the E end, which is directly beneath cluster 15198. I believe that these fine layers can be associated with the cluster above, particularly since they disappear in the western part of the unit. For example, the plaster and clay found under the cluster (visible in the section plan 10/531) as visible layers in the East are present only as small flecks elsewhere in the unit, and do not form visible layers. Small chunks of human cranium were found near the centre of the unit, but not other human remeins were found. The wetsern boundar of the unit is there plastered wall of wall F.3320.
