Discussion: Initially interpretated as a possible plaster floor due to the presence of three plaster pachtes (see above sketch), the absence of an extended plaster surface or continuity between the plaster lumps, suggests that this area is more likely to represent a fill and the plaster to be collapse from walls and other features. It was suggested that this area may be a pit (which would explain the absence of a sharp edge /end on the southern side of the floors on the northern half of space 446) of a later age than these floors. However, the stratigraphy of the cerresponding sections does not underpin this hypotheses so far.Alternatively, this could have been an area where no plaster floors were present, made up of a different material (trampled soil surface), but with a similar function to be plastered area towards the north.
