Description: Trench 10 

 

Discussion: The wood of the coffin of the grave [15421] in Foundation Trench 10 was in surprisingly good condition and made it very easy to chase the coffin (15420). The wood went all around the sides of the grave cut [15421], but was not on the top or the bottom. There was one nail in the northern wall of the coffin.

Condition: hot and painfully windy 

Consistency: soft 

Colour: dark brown 

Texture: wood 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: nail
