Discussion: The cut of the late burial F.3085 was rectangular and very shallow due to erosion because of its proximity to the modern surface. The was very easy to find because the fill (16444) was an orangy brown, while the material it was cutting was a dark grey. The coffin nails along the edge of the cut also helped with defining the cut. The base of the cut was overdug in many areas when the skeleton was removed.
