Data Category Information: Description: foundation trench

Dimensions: 0.8m E/W 0.7m N/S 50mm deep 

Discussion: Cut linear in plan cut to east by section edge, not traced to east. Top gradual on north side sides sloped at 50 degrees curving in towards flattish base. Cut at south by foundation cut 1614 . aligned east- west , filled by 1826 slopes from east to west following the contour of the area. This cut was overdug into layer 1832 as the fill of underlying layer which was quite similar, though the base was very clear in section. Foundation trench cut for wall 77 represented by 1826 .Not traced to the east and peters out to the west although its extent reflects the construction of 1826 only with 1828 etc. representing a rebuild.
