Site Sketch: Click here to open in a new window

Interpretive Categories: Construction cut

Data Category Information: Description: foundation trench

Dimensions: Max width 0.24m

Discussion: This cut was hard to see as the wall sat very tightly within it making it difficult to be sure if it was cutting underlying deposits or if these deposits were abutting the wall. The fact that the wall steps down to the south and east suggests that it cuts underlying deposits.

'L' shaped cut stepping down to the south and west. Max width 0.24m

L approximated using CAD (then doubled to account for L shape when calculating V). D approximated from levels. V approxımated. TCC 25 July 2009
