Dimensions: 10 to 20cm thick, located throughout 2.3 x 1m area. 

Discussion: Mortar between mudbricks (17236) in eastern mudbrick wall (F.5075). The visible mortar is unlikely to be the horizontal separation between bricks, but lenses of mortar separating bricks vertically. This mortar is visible in the south, where feature and units are heavily eroded. Animal disturbance running through centre of unit 17237 may have destroyed horizontal mortar line. As of 12/08/08, not drawn or excavated.

Recognition: hard mortar within mudbrick wall 

Definition: diffuse on all sides 

Execution: looked at it for a while, made a drawing 

Condition: breeze, dusty, nice music 

Consistency: heterogenous, loose 

Colour: tan-grey or brown-grey, slightly more white than mudbrick 17257 

Texture: silty clay
