Unit 17254
Category: Layer dug in 2012
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: Mudbricks
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: NS: 45 cm; EW: 40 cm; Depth: 10 cm
Discussion: This unit comprises one of the two mudbrick types used to build wall f. 2427. It is only represented in two areas of the wall, including one 'complete' brick near the corner of f. 2427 and f. 2408. This brick was subjected to sampling. The other area with this material was only visible in the section of the wall face and could not be excavated as such. Still, the samples taken were from a clean context, despite that these comprise the whole volume of the unit, instead of what may have been more material from the other area.
Recognition: Color difference from other building materials in wall
