Unit 17260
Category: Layer dug in 2012
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: plaster
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: 17260 was the outermost plaster layer on both buttress phases F.3371 and F.5053/5054. It was removed without counting or sampling. Under it, the brick of the features and the lower plaster layer 18378 showed up. After the upper part of the buttress was removed, its original (base) part showed ip with plaster layer 18394 which predated 17260. 17260 was so thick that is might have represented several layers of plastering, but this could not be seen.
