Excavated 2012, 20 litre dry sieved, 30 litre unsieved.
Remaining part of partly excavated, burnt post, In top mostly charcoal with burnt plaster at the edges. Further down the layer was mixed with ashes and more and more brown, humus like, soft silt. Bits of charcoal lay all way to the bottom. The loose layer was easy to distinguish from surrounding layer. The stratigraphical sequence was what you could expect from a burnt post. /SH
