Additional info 2012:
Excavated 2012. 42 litre was dry sieved (total amount). Remaining part of partly excavated, burnt post/jposts, on top mostly charcoal with burnt plaster at the edges. Further down the layer was mixed with ashes and more and more brown, humus like, soft silt. Bits of charcoal lay all way to the bottom. The loose layer was easy to distinguished from surrounding layer. The stratigraphical sequence was what you could expect from a burnt post. U.17541 was disturbed by animal burrows. The human teeth and other finds in the fill are most likely the result of the burrows. Two separate pits could be seen at the bottom, perhaps two posts were put inside the cut. /SH
