Discussion: Wooden panel between posts (17540) and (17541) plastered on front - possible wattle and daub structure F6050.
Additional info 2012:
Excavated 2012, 40 litre dry sieved (total volume).
Remaining part of partly excavated, wooden structure. On top mostly charcoal with burnt plaster at the edges. Further down the layer was mixed with ashes and more and more brown, humus like, soft silt. Bits of charcoal lay all way to the bottom. The loose layer was easy to distinguish from surrounding layer. The stratigraphical sequense was what you could expect from a burnt post. /SH
