Description: Plaster shelf-like feature, approx 18cm in diameter.

Feature removed in 2014.
Re-situed during conservation, this decorative feature or shelf was constructed using sucessive plaster layers. Mellart described similar features at Catalhoyuk as breasts.
Feature was dismanteled from the back. Previous conservation (conservtion grout and an unknown adhesive) was removed first using a combination of tools (flat head screwdriver and a paint scraper). During deconstruction a section (back, top left) became detached and worked obsidan was found paritally covered in conservation groups and the unknown adhesieve. The remaining previous conservation was removed as well as the fiberglass rods. The hollow inside of the feature was revealed and it was fiilled with conservation grout. The grout was removed but nothing was found inside. The feature was then fully dismantled using a mattock.

No samples taken as feature was extremely contaminated by conservation material. Heights need to be recalculated after elevation drawings are completed, to be done post-ex. As such the feature remains open.
