Description: a rubble make-up layer underneath wall of Sp.581 

Discussion: A thin make-up layer of southern wall F.7807 of Sp.581 (S.VIII.31). This deposit was made up of fragments of bricks and mortar. It was placed directly on top of southern wall F.3569 of Sp.553 (E.IX.31). 

Consistency: firm 

Colour: pale brown / grayish brown 

Texture: silty clay 

Bedding: layered 

Inclusions: phytholiths 

Post-depositional Features: 1960's truncation, erosion 

Basal Boundary: constructional, very sharp, wavy
