Discussion: This mortar is part of the late period wall feature 3944. It is thought to be post-neolitic in origin because of its style, color, and stratigraphic position. The mortar is relatively sterile, with no artifacts recovered. This wall is in a place of multiple later mudbrick constructions in the south part of trench 2 (some are beneath this feature).
