Unit 20452
Category: Skeleton dug in 2012
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: skeleton
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: 0,2 m NS x 0,33m EW, x 0,15 m deep
Discussion: Burial of juvenile individual encountered during excavation of midden unit 20449, adjacent to previously excavated burial 3622. Due to the adjacency of both burials, we suspect that they may be contemporary or even that both individuals are from the same burial. The lower leg bones found in 3622 may actually belong to unit 20452, as they were not articulated and were placed further away, towards the south. The burial infill was cut in half by an animal burrow, which separated the lower part of the body (therefore thought to belong to U.19437) from the upper half of the body.
