Dimensions: 3.50m (E-W) x 3.30m(N-S) x 0.07m to 0.20m (depth) 

 

Discussion: This midden layer was different from layer above, as it was ashier and felt more like midden. Also this layer produced more finds than previous U.20467. It was ashier within its matrix.

Execution: pick and trowel 

Condition: warm 

Consistency: soft to moderately compact 

Colour: mainly dark grey and yellowish brown 

Texture: silty sand (ash) 

Bedding: laminated 

Inclusions: occ. shell, freq.animal bones and stone, occ.obsidian, clay ball frag. 

Post-depositional Features: erosion 

Basal Boundary: clear
