Unit 20638
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Surface collapse of wall
Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: This unit consisted of hard packed soil (clayey silt) and stone inclusions. It was removed with pickaxe. It was deposited on top of F3652, 3653 and is a compound layer of fallen down wall rumble; bricks, mortar, clay soil, mixed with room fill (similar to u.20481 in Sp17 and Sp18). Below this unit the walls appeared clearly, forming a corner and also some room fill. Whether this belongs o B.102 is hard to say though. At first I though the W walls was actually one large single brick wall, more common in later Neolithic periods, but it wasn't, which became clear when removing this unit.
