Unit 2070
Category: layer dug in 1997
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: room backfill
Data Category Information: Location: in abandoned building; Deposition: coarsely bedded (dumps)
Dimensions: 0.58 x 0.79 m, 0.26m depth
Discussion: This is not quite a massive a deposit as first recorded. The deposit comprises many small deposition episodes of lenses and building debris. There were many (and varied) organic deposits interpreted as coprolites, some deposits were rich in phytoliths and others were ash lenses. this all suggests the infill was accumulative as opposed to fast infilling by dumps. The whole has been a mix of household and building debris with fragments of clays, possibly fragments of mouldings.
These accumulative deposits continue but unit was changed on arbitrary horizon.
