Discussion: This is a compound layer taken from the eastern side of platform F.3508 (around the burial pit cuts). One thin layer (<1cm) of plaster was taken off along with a layer of makeup (1 cm) to reveal another layer of plaster underneath. This was done in order to begin to bring platform F.3508 in phase with the NE platform and the W floor. 

Consistency: strong/compact 

Colour: light brown (makeup)/beige (plaster) 

Texture: silty 

Bedding: compound layered 

Inclusions: coal 2%, organic white fibers 10% (in makeup), clay 2% 

Post-depositional Features: compaction 

Basal Boundary: compound layer ends clearly above plaster underneath
