Unit 20816
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Make up and lens of possibel occupation layer
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: raised area (platform); Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: A ca 0,02 m thick make-up layer west of the row of burial (and other?) cuts in the platform F.3508. I interpret it as the equivalent to u.20813 on the east side of the cuts, even if it is hard at present to say for sure, as they do not have physical relationship and the platform surface is sloping, so that floor levels are difficult to establish (it may be easier when the cuts are emptied, providing ‘sections’).’
The layer was easy to distinguish from a couple of small plaster layers surrounding F:7001 and F.7003 on their west sides, but I was not really able to decide its relationship to the west edge ot the platform, and the make-up of which this is formed.
The layer is clearly cut by F. 7007 (burial?)
Consistency: Firm
Colour: Light brown
Texture: Silt
Bedding: Massive, apart from a small surface of ca 0,07-0,05 m in it's northern part, towards F.3507, which seemed to have a trampled niveau within the unit.
Inclusions: -
Post-depositional Features: Perhaps partly trampled in the very northern part
Basal Boundary: Clear towards two small plaster layers along the cuts of F.7001 and F. 7003 (not yet given unit numbers), but difficult to separate from make-up, which actually forms the border/edge of the platform F.3508 towards the west.

Finds Room Information:
All material from site passes through the finds room for washing and separating before it is passed onto the various lab teams. The finds room keeps a basic inventory of what is found. A finds material type list is given here. Further analytical detail maybe provided by the Lab Team data below.
