Unit 20958

Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: basin; Material: plaster; Deposition: homogeneous; Basal Spit: unpainted
Discussion: This unit was recognized early on, under the plaster collapse unit 20907. It was clear that it was a wall for another feature first after removing that. This wall was quite thin except where it had collapased slightly. Probably this means it was slightly taller as well. Perhaps some of its plaster was on a higher level mixed with the plaster from F3688 in u.20907.
Its connection to u.20958 (plaster floor) has been largely lost (due to later phases perhaps? Postdepositional features?) but it was visible next to the F3688 border where they initially were connected. It seems plausible that this wall was built in the same event as the floor, covering the levelled area underneath.
