Unit 21189

Category: Layer    dug in 2014

Area: North

Interpretive Categories: bricks of wall 7559

Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Material: brick; Deposition: homogeneous

Description: The length of the bricks is quite variable, spanning from 0.36m and 0.90m. The average length is around 0.75m. The average width is 0.38cm, while the average thickness is 0.085.

Discussion: The bricks of wall F.7559 have been found in a good state of preservation. The succession between bricks and mortar layers has been followed easily.

Wall F.7559 seems to be the first in the chronological succession of the wall of B.129 (F.7558, F.7559 and F.7560), since the other two walls lean against wall F.7559.
