Discussion: This layer was constructed in order to work as a foundaton for the partition wall F7315. It has a clear basal boundary consisting of a thin layer of burnt and charred plant material (sample 3). The material is mainly dark grey mortar which separates itself from surronding materials in a distinct way (U30527). The mortar was used mainly as a foundation but also to fix the two types of materials which makes up the core of F7315. This unit was excavated using trowel.
