Unit 21545
Category: Layer dug in 2014
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Midden lens in infill of B.113
Data Category Information: Location: external; Deposition: finely bedded
Discussion: The unit was recognized as it was darker then surrounding infill and layerd (at least 5 layers).
We thought that we had hit midden and thus hit the bottom of the infill, as it did not continue down through the infill. It was a layer of midden which probably was made while filling the building with infill (U21140).
After cleaning the section of B113 we found out that the multiple layers were cut and re-filled with another infill so the actual lens could probably be a layer for which original extent is uncertain.
The unit was excavated with trowel and brush as it was porous and ashy.
