Discussion: Adult flexed burial oriented on right side. This individual was interred simultaneously with the partially articulated remains of a neonate sk. 21653, along with a tightly flexed child placed on top of the adults trunk sk. 21656. Additionaly a disarticulated adult cranium sk.21662, mandible, scapula and neonate/ infant cranial remains were placed in the southern portion of the grave cut, most likely in a basket given the presence of circular phytolith stains. This burial F.7853 appears to have truncated an earlier primary interment F.7857 to the north, and this might be the source of the loose adult cranium/ mandible found with sk.21657.
