Unit 21945
Category: Layer dug in 2015
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: dirty floor
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: raised area (platform); Material: dark grey clay; Deposition: multiple
Discussion: This layer was a very heterogeneous floor, composed by a dark deposit with many charcoal fragments. Among the relatively abundant finds, we recovered big pieces of chalk, a piece of red ochre, and a stone polisher. These elements leads to the interpretaþion of this layer as a work floor, perhaps primarily related to the preparation of plaster and pigment.
