Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: foundation cut; Deposition: heterogeneous
Description: Thin layer stuck between N-face of the wall F.3096 and infill (U.22075) of the foundation trench (F.7591).
Discussion: Purpose and function of a layer (U.22099) which comprised of crushed bricks mortar and fragments of plaster are not clear. It was recorded within foundation trench F.7591, along the northern face of the wall F.7301. Taking into consideration above mentioned components as well as the context of nearby mud-brick structure, it seems that the deposition of selected material aimed to stabilize the southern wall of B.77 that had been set within the ditch. Most plausibly firm texture of the preferable ingredients that had been stuck between the wall (F.7301) and soft infill (U.22075) aimed to stabilize the just erected construction and maintain its vertical position.
